Jottings – Darby Bible. Last updated 9 October 2026.

Jottings is owned and operated by TeamChrome.AI LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company based in Madison Heights, Michigan.

What Jottings is

Jottings is an app and website for reading J. N. Darby’s translation of the Bible, with its footnotes, search, word lookup, published ministry on the text, and read-aloud voices. Reading needs no account. With an optional account you can keep reading streaks, write and share jottings, add friends and join reading groups. By using Jottings you agree to these terms and to the privacy policy.

Who may use it

Anyone may read. Accounts are for people aged 13 and over. If you are under 13, read without an account.

What you share

What you write is yours. When you share a jotting by its link or post it to a group, you give TeamChrome.AI LLC, which runs Jottings, a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store it and show it to the people you share it with, for as long as it is shared. Unshare it, delete it or delete your account and that licence ends, except for a copy kept as evidence under the moderation rules below. You confirm that you have the right to share what you share, and that it does not copy someone else’s work without permission.

Rules and moderation

Everything shared is checked the moment it is shared, and anyone can report a post, a jotting or an account. This is how it works:

Copyright

Do not share text that is someone else’s without permission. Notices and counter-notices are handled as described on the copyright page; an account whose shared content is removed on valid notices more than twice is closed. The Bible text itself is public domain and may be quoted freely.

Your account

You are responsible for what is done with your account. You can delete it at any time from Settings → Account, and everything tied to it goes with it as the privacy policy describes. We may close an account that breaks these terms.

No warranty

Jottings is provided as it is, without warranty of any kind, express or implied. It may change, pause or stop at any time. To the extent the law allows, the author of Jottings is not liable for any loss or damage arising from its use or from anything shared on it by others.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of the State of Michigan, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.

Changes

When these terms change, the new version is posted here with its date. Using Jottings after that date means you accept the change.
